Regardless of your intent, this is a common rhetorical tactic to get people to watch nazi-friendly content. Because any increased exposure to white supremacist gateway content is considered a win for recruitment.

The key design of the game is around a social element of trading and battling your collected monsters, using a game-link cable (now internet) to connect two players. To force you to trade, each game has only a subset of the available Pokémon. This could be achieved with a single version and a random number generator.

Seems to me this is what happens when you have someone who’s into freestyle rapping who plays video games, instead of a video gamer (who may not even listen to much rap music) trying to rap.

This is entirely unprecedented, right? Two console makers Nintendo and Microsoft jointly releasing an ad needling their competitor.  Has this ever happened in the history of video games?

I have a bone to pick about Nintendo’s booth. Why is Nintendo giving EA booth space? They have a large number of demo units set up for FIFA19, just like last year. In the booth tour video I watched, no one was playing them. Give the space to Bethesda or another developer that actually supports the platform. I get

I’m kind of disappointed this article didn’t mention Super Columbine RPG or otherwise make an effort to put this controversy in historical context.

I thought this was a positive, but hardly noticable change. Then I read the text for Homarid Explorer and realized I had subconsciously read the words as “his or her library” inside my head. Brains are funky sometimes.

“We’ve got college kids in dorms, we’ve got college kids in apartments, we’ve got college kids in frats,” Baker said of the wide-ranging Switch audience

I think people are seriously underestimating the role that price plays into this. Nintendo will not kill off the 3DS family in favor of the Switch until there is a machine in the Switch family available for under $200. This may happen via price drops (2019+) or more likely via some sort of more portable Switch

Reading comprehension issues for me... Did the drunk Kirkhope pull on Andreas’ pants or on Miyamoto’s?

Their Patreon monthly support is actually fairly low at below $1000 a month, so putting in a small $1-10 monthly donation can actually really help them right now. Don’t want to sound like an ad, but I was surprised by this and decided to donate.

I think this is a false narrative. Nintendo has shown themselves to listen to fan input frequently, they’re just slow to change policy and aren’t going to make changes that they see as bad business moves.
Look at Zelda: Nintendo heard complaints about Wind Waker’s cartoony style and made the next game a realistic OoT

I think NerdSmasher’s post is proof that there are people who do casually use the N word in this fashion. I don’t know how naïve you have to be to not realize it’s unnacceptable. I was pretty shocked the first times I heard someone use the word. I have a friend who will occasionally say it to be edgy or something, as

In a treehouse presentation Aonuma pointed out she’s wearing the same tunic as Link in the Amiibo and suggested they’ll talk more about it later. My bet is she’ll be at least partially playable.

Since no one actually read the article, 14% of developers believe the Switch cannot outsell the Wii U. The rest gave no opinion. This poll was also taken in November and December, well before the full reveal.

I feel sorry for all the kids with their consoles on an automatic shutdown after 15 minutes.

From the trailer I think it’s pretty clear that the animation is Studio Ghibli inspired (The comparison pics don’t really do justice).

Dance numbers are back!

Nice opinion. I disagree.

If you’re considering winging it, go ahead and do it. The original plots aren’t that complicated to begin with, and I’m sure the movies will be fairly self contained. They’re starting out with an all-new cast and storyline but just reintroducting some old characters. The movies are really made for people who’ve seen
