it is a rather innocuous comment in context”
Agreed.

Awww is someone sensewtiff? Did da big bad mention of da discourse following this game and its designer for the past sevewal years huut yo widdle feewingz??

In BG3, they go with a classic and put a fig leaf over the offending parts.  Note that Larian is European so boobs aren’t censored even when it’s on

More RPGs need to (re)embrace just playing through with a fairly static group of friends, as opposed to the numerous awful Coop scemes seemingly made to support random dropin/dropout stuff (or worse, the souls-like approach).

You can tab out of conversations to position your other party members pre fight. If you are expecting the conversation to go south. I’ve been watching plenty of playthroughs where situations seemed unsalvageable but then the player remembered that random scroll of knockback and sleep that they looted 5 hours ago and

If we can’t turn back the clock, then what can we do? We can keep adding to and improving Overwatch 2. That is how we move forward. This means more maps, heroes, game modes, missions, stories, events, cool cosmetics, and features—an ever-expanding, evolving, and improving game.

So the thing with BG3 is that you have full control over your party, so you are going to have to end up learning all the classes(or at least most of them)

As someone who is completely new to DnD and after watching several explanation videos on YouTube, I’m ready to take the plunge on BG3.  I’m a complete newb, so I’m leaning towards either a Fighter or Barbarian.  Are both of these good for a first play through as a complete novice?

ATTN Save Scummers:

Unless you stop playing after a game over screen, you are practicing a kind of save scumming.”

Loved the DnD film. Do it for Jornathan!

I don’t, because it doesn’t seem to be driving off anyone who wants to play a DnD game, or a story driven game, or a turn based game, and people who are titillated by the sex, while they will find themselves mostly disappointed (the game continues to have sex, but it isn’t all a Laezel/Astarian rush) in that regard,

Unless I’m missing something, this is basically the equivalent argument as saying, “don’t boycott Amazon, because that will hurt their workers”, or, “expecting more from Amazon will just result in them treating their workers even worse to make up the difference”. That’s just an argument against ever holding companies

So, basically, the worst of Capitalism has finally consumed another market. I have a refrigerator in my garage that I bought in 1997 and it continues to hum right along all of these years later. Meanwhile, inside the house, I’ve gone through another three fridges since then. Why? Because the appliance manufacturers

It feels weird how frequently people leave out the early access for three 3 years bit of the story. Folks would not be okay with the next Elder Scrolls or pokemon doing that. So what’s the point of the comparison?

Who, exactly, do you think you’re defending in this piece Ethan? BG3 can and should be used as a weapon against unfair business practices. I don’t think any developers are taking this personally  (at least none that I know / read dev logs from). They sure wouldn’t mind a job offer at Larian, though.

Please do not take this the wrong way, I can and everyone alive can do what ever they want with this game, and what it’s existence represents. For too long we’ve been paying top dollar for a core concept piecemeal across multiple season passes and or or one off DLCs or worse yet microtrasactions.

Customers pitting themselves against workers—a capitalism specialty

Yes, the guy/video was inflammatory. Yes, it was more emotion-based than fact-based. And, yes, it all might have been for click-baity reasons.

They don't want to work on another this big for a while. Apparently, they want to take a break and do a much smaller project.
