Yuri fans, do not bother with “Sasameki Koto”. The series ends right when it looks like the two characters might be getting together, leaving you with whatever the plot equivalent of blue balls is.

Which is why Bon Clay and Emporio Ivankov from One Piece, as much as I love both of them, don’t belong here either.

Thought Yuri on Ice was good not great.

He’s not a bad character, but he’s a minor character who is just a stereotypically flamboyant gay man, and he’s usually presented as a joke. If he shows up on a “Top 10 best examples of queer representation” list, then the bar for good representation must be very, very low.

I’ll toss in my recommendation for The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady, and it’s two starring characters, Anisphia and Euphyllia for having a relationship that grows throughout the whole season, and actually amounts to something in the end.

I think they did a pretty good job with Najimi Osana in Komi Can’t Communicate. I also really appreciate it that the other characters are respectful of their pronouns, even Tadano who got over his initial shock pretty quickly.

My favorite thing about the censorship for Sailor Moon’s Haruka and Michiru is that they changed it from a lesbian relationship to an INCESTUOUS Lesbian Relationship.  They made them cousins to explain the closeness between the two, but left in a couple of scenes where they kissed... I am absolutely in love with this art style. It’s something I’ve been asking for for years. If we could get a new Pokemon calling back to the original Sugimori art style, I would be over the moon. 

I’m extremely charmed by all the animations we saw in Mario Wonder. Watching Mario emote in SMRPG is going to be an absolute treat.  Mario fans eating well over the next year!
