Because these kind of mods are about representation. There are a ton of games already that have male protagonists, so a male swap for Lara Croft would be divisive at best and disingenuous at worst.

I’ve been waiting for a mod like this for years. I’m glad it finally happened.
Yep. In particular he was the main reason why the first release of Dragon Quest XI had an incredibly shitty midi soundtrack, and not it’s glorious orchestral version (Though they were evidently able to work that out, as the “S” re-release for switch and other consoles included the proper soundtrack). It was a particula…
Isn’t this the dude who sued everybody who tried to listen to his music?
At least searching “Nobuo Uematsu”+“Controversy” and “Koji Kondo”+“Controversy” only leads to the delightful “controversy” that the former wanted the latter’s theme to Super Mario Bros to play at the Tokyo Olympics.
Won’t cry too hard. The non-orchestral OST in DQXI was atrocious and the man himself was a nationalist POS.
There’s loose mention in the article, did they add voice acting to the final product?
“hurr nintendo laywer shut down game :((( kotaku killed the game :(((((“
There’s a legal difference between a fan game and a mod. Fan games are standalone files using Nintendo assets or IPs that run afoul of copyright and trademark laws. Mods require you to have a backed up copy of a ROM, ostensibly ripped from a physical copy of the game that you currently own. Backing up games you own is…
I’d be fine with Sora, but honestly, with Nintendo playing nice with Microsoft, I would absolutely love Master Chief/ John 117.
My weird hill is that I like the original Bandai and Namco logos. Before they became BamcoNandai.
The old logo was bad, but at least it was recognizeable. The new one looks like some new offering from T-Mobile.
This looks like a classic case of a new head in the company that wants to leave his mark on the company so he changed the company logo.
I’m today years old when I noticed that Bandai Namco has the word BANANA in it
You don’t have to like the old one to think the new one is worse.
The original is so classic. Bamco should consider keeping its classic design. It’s both easy to read and recognizable.
More oversimplification rubbish.
The orange blob isn't the greatest thing ever, but at least it stood out and looked different.
Minimalist graphic design is the work of the devil.
Why is it that we live in the year 2021 and yet all these new logos are designed like we all have computers from the early 90's? What happened to shadows, gradients and other effects? Why does nobody use fancy fonts or symbols anymore?
