I mean, CR just updated their whole site a few months ago. I'm sure others are saying it's the worst thing ever, but their player works perfectly fine for me.

You obviously haven't played the game recently then. The differences are night and day when compared to the game's original release.

This is objectively not true. 

You you clearly haven't looked very hard. The game has changed radically although the initial couple of minutes are the same. The first few missions are about teaching you the mechanics. Later on the differences start to emerge taming creatures building bases flying freighters and so on and so on and so on

It took two months to be able to roll on my own, or otherwise I might have. ;)

Wow, that sounds really close. Maybe it’s two sound clips of roars/screams and the slight pause between them comes off as a 'g' sound? I don’t know but they need to fix that right away.

I would normally say “I’m sure it was unintentional” but since it is an OC dev that is a lot harder to say.
