this will be finished. It will likely only be 3-4 parts tops and part 2 is already at least 6 months into development. When you consider how many assets they can reuse from part 1, part 2 could be out before the end of next year, easily. This thing should be finished before 2025.

Theres no AI for the allies on purpose. Its meant to be like the original game where you control all 3. Youre never meant to just sit on one character. Youre supposed to build up atb, use a move, swap and repeat. Its meant to emulate the old combat system, giving them “better ai” would defeat the purpose.

Game looks great to me and everyone I've seen playing it is loving it, even in the ways you aren't.

For me the time loop ending was the worst part, not the amnesia. The GF amnesia thing was there from the start of the game, part of the lore. Yeah theres a bit of a plot hole, if you make Irvine use GFs but they probably didnt want to punish the player for Lore/story reasons, and I’m in favor of that.
