I always kinda see the Orks as the good guys. They aren’t running around murdering puppies because they’re evil, they’re just programmed to fight against anything they find. They’re the galaxy’s immune system... wherever anyone starts getting out of hand, the Orks show up to knock them back down.

This is true, but PETA makes no effort to actually find homes for any of the animals in their shelters. They’d rather see an animal dead than somebody’s pet.

For being what seemed like a cash-in Mortal Kombat clone, it had a surprisingly good story. And as Ganon mentioned, there’s also a comic series that’s been going on since the game released, showing the 5 years between Superman going crazy and the start of the first game. The comics are also pretty damn good.
