If you have the ability, hardwiring is amazing. Add a cheap wireless AP for $30 a pop, and you’ll have screaming fast internet all throughout.

There are real engines that are bigger.  Those Container ships use some massive engines to run.

Not TV....but I find Doug Demuro’s web series chalk board fingernail grating. Not that it matters, I’m sure he has made serious bank since his Jalop days.

I couldn’t care less if Mel Gibson came back, but I like Julia Sawalha. That said, Jane Horrocks and Lynn Ferguson both do great voice acting work and it’s great to hear they’re coming back. (Particularly Horrocks, who is nothing but delightful.)

None of that other shit should be open either you fucking moron.

Right, like at the VERY least that should be happening. If people have concerns about being forced to shelter in place, I don’t understand at all what the major objection is to “the government sent me free tests and higher quality masks.”

Because I don’t really want to hoard masks, I’m now basically just SOL for a bit

If I was not currently teaching and seeing my class numbers drop this week from 25 students per class to 10 or fewer, I would agree with you.

We went through that very brief period at the beginning of all of this in which we offered “hero pay” to people and began acting as if maybe teachers really do deserve to be treated well - and it feels like, for a ton of people, it totally evaporated.

The rebuttal I usually get to what I’ll say is that we can’t fix

Why would you have more than one Echo or Homepod in a room?

Seriously Other than Cameron who is waiting for this?

Jason ‘...is no longer around’ leaves a certain impression, man.

Whew, thank goodness. I had to break out my work computer in the middle of a public place to see what was going on here, since GMG sites (particularly long-ish articles, or any time I attempt to read more than just the first comment) are an absolute fucking self-destruct mechanism to mobile devices.

Maybe the real Jason Torchinsky was inside us all along

Yep, I would have added, “Have fun with the car you’ve got.” You don’t need a specific make or model to be a car enthusiast.

Personally I don’t think there are enough articles on Jalopnik that would actually help cultivate a new generation of car enthusiasts. Most of the content is just news about new cars, which often aren’t marketed to enthusiasts, or griping about issues with dealers and automakers, which aren’t relevant when buying

I think the best, and most likely, way they’ll do it is just not directly reference the events of the Netflix shows, but not have anything the glaringly contradicts them either. Want to believe it’s the continuation of the same characters? You can! Want to believe they’re variants? You can!

Jessica Jones also referenced the Raft. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. made reference to the events of Daredevil Season Two. It’s a mess, but there’s no reason the Netflix shows can’t be canon.

Doug is a chore to watch. I don’t get the excitment of quirks and/or features that are typically found on other cars past or present.

I’ll give them credit - the visual direction and staging have been great.
