Reminds me of a friend I had who was an aircraft and powerplant mechanic for a cargo airline. He once remarked to me that they banned forklifts from the tarmac because “they had too many oopsies.”

I think the fast fashion of vehicles filling up the landfills are the millions and millions of crossovers and trucks people buy that they don’t even need; that’s where the short attention spans REALLY are. A Cooper Coupe or Roadster buyer strikes me as a smarter, more well-defined human being than your average car

I always loved the form factor and shape and idea of the Cooper Coupe and Roadster; they’re like an American version of a Kei car that you can actually drive here without dying.

I’m delighted by how delighted you are, and that’s why they built this thing. I hope you own it forever.

I’m all for a car that makes people happy.

My wife had one of those (R57 convertibles, not a gallon of milk). It may surprise you to find out that the Roadster has 8.5 cubic feet of trunk space, which I believe is more than the 370Z and the Miata. A week’s worth of groceries are easily accommodated, and it’s a rare day that I’ve needed more room than that.

I actually solved this quite handily with a stick-on fresnel lense from LightInSight, which works really well for the sloped Roadster windshield. In the event that lights are strung close to the stop line, it’s easy to see red and green lights while sitting normally in the driver’s seat. Obviously, if the roof is down

I spent some time looking into these, for the purpose of figuring out whether the trope was true. It’s not. Like the MINI in this article, the used market for these is hot. It was also a conquest car, and brought some buyers into Nissan (specifically the Murano which a surprising number of CC buyers purchased after

DON’T HATE ON FUN.”

I saw one of these this morn in that exact colorway, and in a way, I’ve always kind of enjoyed them as odd as they are.

As opposed to everyone buying a bulky oversized sport utility vehicle for the adventurous lifestyle they're not living? A few of these aren't hurting anybody.

Yeah, i guess i didn’t realize people hated these that much. I’m a “RWD FOREVER/GIVE ME MY 400 HP!!” type person but dude....the Mini Coupe/Roadster are clearly just fun little sports cars that look like they’re a blast to drive.

I don’t know. I agree with a lot of the other comments here - it seems like a car that was intended to be light hearted and fun - which is a legitimate reason to buy one.

They’re definitely few and far between given that limited production run! When I bought mine back in early 2012, I think it was one of about five in the whole state of Colorado. Since then, I have perhaps seen one every 3-4 months, even in California and Florida, which one might presume is more friendly to the

Yeah I think they were 32k new. But 22lbs with a better distribution is not really all that problematic. The webs are probably right.. But the difference in weight was mainly It was the first mini with the pedestrian protection system that was not yet implimented in the others yet.

FlightDoc...this is the best reply I have seen in years. I had a 2003 BRG Cooper S (the only thing I will disagree with is the correct white striping instead of silver) with a 6 speed manual that I as well ordered from the factory and I will NEVER forget taking on my first offramp with it....soooo much fun.

I met a dude with one of these at the local cars and coffee last weekend. What a freakin riot of a car!! I always forget these exist until I occasionally see one and am taken aback at the fact that such a niche vehicle can exist at all.

I really really like it and really really want one.... But no space for dogs :(

Actually Lighter and 20hp stronger. One more small mod and mine will push out more than the JCW model

Certainly a list by someone not internet savvy.
