What did the US regulations say about why he lights had to be mounted lower? Clearly the lights are more visible (not to mention better-looking) mounted on the glass. Was the glass-mount itself a no-go in the US?

Spotted this mess near the King of Prussia Mall outside of Philadelphia a few years ago. There were actually homemade stickers on the back of this eyesore but the ones on the sides were more interesting.

This is my 2013 MINI’s setup, a pair of chromed metal tips that hug the pipes fairly closely and seem to be as much as a heat guard as cosmetic. I don’t mind them. At least they are round. I rarely bother cleaning them, certainly not as often as I clean the whole car.

There is no comparison. It looks so much better than the Miata.

I was stopped by some white van guys in a strip mall parking lot when I was in highschool, around 1992 or so. I was driving a beat-up 1987 Pontiac Grand Am that was probably worth less than whatever they had in the van. I politely declined so I never even took a look to see what they had.

Interesting. I’m in the ‘burbs about 25 miles NW of Philadelphia and all of the Wawa locations around here have 93. Even Giant sells 93 at their stations.

As an aside, while it is important to note that “tanks” are armored vehicles with heavy armor, tracks and a turret mounting its main weapon, there was an exception: the now-retired Swedish Stridsvagn 103 which was considered a main battle tank despite its lack of a turret:
