So what you’re saying is, Nolan took a straightforward narrative and made it a gripping masterpiece by editing it in a certain way?

...except, it isn’t, because that’s not possible. It’s 3 largely independent stories that can’t be put into a straight narrative. Which is why the structure is a neat trick that lets those 3 stories be told concurrently.

And it’ll be shot on Imax, and I’ll be traveling three goddamn hours to see it in 70mm.  

And I’ll bet that whatever it turns out to be, some shitbag will be in the comment section telling me it’s not that smart and not really all that great.

Nothing kills a passion project like Kotaku koverage. Sometimes I wonder if editorial ever thinks to kill a story on a REALLY good fan remake. But then this would seem to be that, wouldn’t it?

This. Especially TDKR that gets a lot of shit but is in fact a super ballsy not to mention fantastic ending to the Begins arc. I think out of the whole trilogy, I love Rises the most.

Agreed. Nolan specifically is a huge fan of IMAX so it makes total sense to use his films (Dark Knight was one of the early feature films to use IMAX cameras).

What is this article?? They’re screening the Nolan movies for the obvious reasons you stated, but in addition you’re overlooking that it’s a partnership with IMAX- it makes even more sense that they’re screening the trilogy that actually shot a tremendous amount of scenes on IMAX cameras, helping to popularize that…
