Most Hollywood stuff is done by union labor. Almost all video game work is done by non-union labor. Might have something to do with that.

I’ve been saying this for years, but All games are beautiful now. And this has pretty much been true since the PS3 gen or so. And the human dimension of this has been given short shrift versus the technological one. Persona 4 is a much better looking game than most that I’ve played recently because of its striking and

One of the things that always irks me a bit is when I have my students analyze a retro game, usually from the NES catalog. Invariably they’ll always make a point like “The graphics are bad, buts in an old game”. They simply aren’t able to see artistic merit in a game that isn’t running in HD at 60 frames a second yet.

Yeah, the Switch version looks good enough. The next gen ones look better, if I squint and play ‘spot the difference’ for a few minutes. If this is what next gen console prices are buying us, I’ll be glad to save my money for a while.

I think what they need to do is come out with more variations of the starter set. Maybe a Luigi starter set or something similar to that.

I think this is really the thing.

Men have been fucking up this world for literal centuries. Literal. Centuries.

My first games were text based so I can relate to not being overly excited about the graphic improvements. But games like Ghost of Tsushima or Breath of the Wild are visually stunning and make me appreciate the technology advances. What really excites me about the next generation are the greatly reduced load times.

Microsoft is obviously not paying publishers to not transfer games over like Syndicate or “Werewolves Within”, when all the other major AC games have moved over. It’s 2020, unless you’re 12, this weird console war tirade you’re on is just a bit sad.

You worded your comment strangely to me then.

I wonder how well it will do with a $20 price tag?

Well, when you care more about imaginary children in pizza parlor basements than actual, real children in cages on the border, your moral compass is bound to get a little screwed up.

It seems like both of these companies excel when there’s strong competition between them.

Uhh, bye stadia. We’ll always remember you for that thing.... the free- wait we had to pay for games... the controller? I mean... was there anything going for this?

This, as well as, over time companies who make power efficient processors may be less motivated to make them as efficient as possible if we’re able to get a days worth and get more processing power out of it instead. Its like, “oh, we can get 30% more battery life? That will help us reach our power requirement roadmap

As a Dane reading this from Denmark, I can only say: True dat! The man is a giant baby who cannot formulate a sentence and only reacts to his primary instincts and needs - with a narcissistic vigor. How millions could vote for him - let alone defend him now, after four crazy years - is beyond most of my fellow Danes.

I’m already putting money aside for the “Will you shut up, man.” statue I want placed in front of Trump Tower

I’m with you on all that. Did you see that in the States, Sony price matched Ps5 with series x, but here in Canada, ‘same price’ means $30 more than series x?

What is with the push to make vertical orientation happen (PS has been doing it for at least a few gens now)? I feel like gaming consoles are meant for couch gaming and most entertainment consoles/TV benches are built with horizontally oriented component storage in mind. Maybe I’m just old now and don’t want a game
