I’m with you on all that. Did you see that in the States, Sony price matched Ps5 with series x, but here in Canada, ‘same price’ means $30 more than series x?

What is with the push to make vertical orientation happen (PS has been doing it for at least a few gens now)? I feel like gaming consoles are meant for couch gaming and most entertainment consoles/TV benches are built with horizontally oriented component storage in mind. Maybe I’m just old now and don’t want a game…
For some reason people think something being a game or a competition makes it lesser than being a sport, as if not being a sport was some kind of slight. Warmed over anxiety about getting bullied by jocks imo.
I don’t know if it’s because English isn’t my native language, but in French, the word “Sport” is mostly associated with an activity that is, in its essence, a physical one.
Technically, I hate the term esports and it’s dumb and stupid.
EA should add “Press X to kneel” to the game. Tat will for sure get some heads exploding.
I’ve never owned a Madden game, but I am 100% here just to see the “keep politics out of games” crowd’s heads explode.
I - unfortunately - waded into a local Nextdoor group discussion about the “dangerous 5G towers” that were going up around the neighborhood. I asked someone to link me to their research that showed they were harmful and I literally got a link to a website talking about chemtrails. Can’t make that shit up. I actually…
Lol, I’m glad I’m not the only one who makes this connection when someone on the internet tells me they “did their own research”:
Thanks for this Beth. I’ve had to endure a weekend of armchair-epidemiologists on social media passing this around and I was looking forward to finding out how this was being misinterpreted (almost everyone sharing it was basically using the “let young, healthy people do whatever they want, this isn’t a deadly…
My rules:
It’s like when people want “politics out of sports” but jerk off over the national anthem played before events, giant flags spread across the field (a violation of the Flag Code btw) and circle-jerk celebrations for the military during it.
I found the antidote:
Digital is just a long term rental. At any point, your license to the game can be revoked for any reason chosen by the platform/publisher whether it be to licensing rights changes, shuttering of the platform itself, etc so I buy physical copies.
Don’t do slideshow articles. they are terrible clickbaity nonsense that nobody likes
I was thinking of Turtles in Time too, but that I hope they absolutely do not do to this what they did to TMNT. That remake had none of the charm of the original. I want just a straight port or re-release of Scott Pilgrim. Or even just the ability to download and play it on my Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
“where are the poor and working class expected to live?”
Question: when did the rainbow LED gaming trend start and why? It just seems like a stupid trend that I don’t understand.
Hollywood happened.
$103.5 CAD for a new game...ouch. This really makes you appreciate game-pass for the cost of less than 2 games a year.
