It’s ok to like a movie.

To me, the difference is, The Last Jedi didn’t set out to be divisive. It didn’t set out to divide the fanbase or pick a side. It just wanted to try and tell a good story in the Star Wars universe.
TELLTALE IS BACK! WE’RE GETTING A SEQUEL TO WOLF AMONG US!
Not sure where that’s supposed to fit in my entertainment center but...we’ll figure that out
I was really interested in Hades when it was announced but also dislike EGS. This is great because EGS was basically the beta testers and now that its on steam I can reap all the benefits.
I think that swagger’s going to be mitigated by the fact that there’s a subscription fee (for the pro level, anyhow) combined with having to buy the games (which isn’t the case for most other sub-streaming services) on top of the latency problem.
It’s a grand idea, but its pricing model sucks, and the connectivity…
Your comparison to Netflix is a good one. One of the reasons why streaming video subscriptions are worthwhile is because you’re only watching maybe a 2 hour movie or a few TV episodes in one sitting. But if you really love a movie or a show and want to watch it multiple times, you might choose to buy your own digital…
There are two problems with Stadia.
You’re really coming at us w/ the “if I’ve got nothing to hide, what’s the problem w/ giving up privacy,” line?
I have some pretty clear insight with what these orgs do with your data. I work in AI/analytics for several of them. It’s not just ads. Just one example, your habits are being relayed to insurance companies (how you drive, what you eat, what sports you participate in). From that they determine how much of a premium…

Many of us liked his SW movie
let’s face it, video games as a whole has started to fall apart with shitty monetization practices.
The preservation and consumer rights stuff is interesting here. It’s obviously a concern but I wonder if this kind of thing is going to be the impetus to new legislation regarding digital ownership. Tragically (at least in the US), changes to what it means to own a digital game likely won’t happen until something high…
I’m right there with you. And it saddens and confuses me how quickly people entertain this nonsense. “Apple Arcade is probably going to be good”? Define ‘good’. In their rush to be on the forefront of every new tech trend, people are failing to think this through to its inevitable and consumer-unfriendly conclusion.
“Living north of the border, I’d say the image we get from you guys is that a good chuck of your population seems to actually like voting for a person that is a fucking joke and an insult. ;)”
It’s actually dual function - you can use it as a credit card, and it’s also a sign to others that you’re a douchebag
The issue (for most) has never been the additional launcher, though many try to twist it that way. It also isn’t that the epic storefront exists. For me personally, I disagree with their business practices and security. That said, regardless of how I feel about the situation, it's never an excuse to attack the devs.…
