I think it’s not necessarily about selling nostalgia. I think we have to consider the impact that each version of the Turtles had on the general public. The original cartoon is the one that had, by far, the biggest impact. Not saying that other versions were bad, but not one of those came even close to how popular the

You know, one thing that made me like games a bit more for a while was that many of these were actually telling stories, which made you feel like you were playing a movie. I’m not talking about horrible FMV games, but more like games with a pretty elaborated story that gets to you the same way a good movie does. And

Why do you think retrogaming is attracting more and more people? I mean, sure, it may not be the MAIN reason, but it’s definitely one of the reasons people track down old consoles and games (or buy dedicated consoles for emulating old games).

One thing I’m noticing, is that as I grow older, modern games become less

There’s a national retailer in Canada I went to the other day that had a 3080 in stock. It was behind the counter on a shelf with no price tag attached to it and I asked, out of curiosity, how much they were selling it for. The clerk said they only sell it in a bundle with other PC components, for a super nice total

Now playing

Their rationale is the same BS behind anything these people try to justify. But ONLY when applied to things they believe in. It doesn’t block 100% viruses or bacteria, then that means it’s useless.

Reminds me of that video... always makes me laugh whenever I watch it. At 3:34, that’s exactly where this type of

This is the same type of crowd that raided the Capitol in January 2021, with the same type of delirious beliefs and far-right discourse armed with “alternate” facts aplenty. A big player behind this protest is an organisation with members who openly said the Prime Minister should be assassinated (either shot or hanged)

Stealing is removing something from someone. If you pirate something that is actually being sold in a manner that compensates the creator (or copyright holder, or distributor, or anyone involved), you’re indeed stealing as you’re preventing someone from getting compensated for their work. That I see as morally wrong.

I know. But eventually, you won’t be able to anymore. You can’t expect a company to keep their servers running for eternity. Maybe I’m wrong, but as far as I know, the original Wii e-shop is completely dead. Even for redownloading what you purchased. This will happen to the WiiU and 3DS as well eventually.

Same boat here. While The Last Jedi isn’t without its faults, it at least tried to take the series into the unknown, into new territories. It tried moving things in a different direction and that felt nice to me. The movie still had those old characters in it, but they were still riding in the backseat, only to serve

I admit that piracy and its effects is a hot debate. And while I can see examples where it can be somewhat morally justifiable, or having no real impact, there are other cases where it does have impacts, even if these are super minor and relative.

I think you failed to understand that I’m not talking about “legal rights”. I’m purely talking on a moral ground standpoint, which is definitely not the same thing. It’s not because something is legal or illegal that it necessarily defines it’s morality, or lack of it.

I’m not for piracy, as I find despicable and morally undefendable the idea of pirating something that’s still actively sold which still brings in money to whoever made the game. I love gaming, so I don’t like biting the hand that feeds my hobby.

Like I said, I don’t know about the U.S. But I’m not talking about “joesTVsEmporium” or other Amazon BS listings either. I’m talking about established competitors that have physical stores across Canada that aren’t on the “authorized competitors list” or whatever.

Yeah, but still almost every time I tried them to price match anything, they always come with a stupid excuse as to why they can’t honor their policy. Either it’s not an “authorized competitor”, or they say their price match policy only applies to regular prices, so anything on sale at any competitor won’t get price

I live in Canada, and I’m fortunate enough to live “relatively” near about 4 different Canada Computers locations, which generally offers a decent selection. Now, their service, while not bad in my experience, is still what I’d call “average” (I’ve heard bad stories but never experienced these), but compared to Best

I feel ya. I also stopped going there altogether. BestBuy can talk sh!t all they want about Amazon or other online businesses hurting them, they themselves are the ones driving their own customers away. First, they ALWAYS, ALWAYS find an obscure reason why they can’t price match anything. Second, their website is

The thing with these “perks” is that it’s all good marketing, but when you get to actually using those perks, like a component failing before two years, Best Buy will do EVERYTHING in its power to deny you a refund or exchange, citing some obscure clause in the contract that doesn’t cover “reason X” why your component

Their pricing and google’s tendency to axe things that aren’t making the moola is the main reason I’ve not “bought” any games on my new Stadia.

...because those idiots are putting themselves and others at risk just for the sake of being idiots.

Spend years making games and earning respect of gamers. Then flush all that down the toilet in an instant.

Bravo, Team 17, you just threw your reputation under a bus, and then asked the bus to back up over it a couple of times just to be sure. And then you asked all passengers on that bus to get out, line up and take
