I completely agree that some fucking morons are completely nuts. I mean, all this vitriol and insults and even death threats are just horrible. These people seriously all have a screw loose (more than one, I’d say).

Exclusives are indeed garbage. People often go “well, it’s the same thing on consoles, you know, each have their exclusives”. Yeah, I know. But that doesn’t negate the fact that this sucks nonetheless. It’s just that people are used to it now because it’s been like this since forever. But it still sucks.

This is the tragedy of our times.

Do we know at what price this will get relesased at? I mean, I’m interested, but given the Switch situation where most ports ends up being almost always more expensive there than everywhere else... I often end up waiting for a sale and even so, a sale often means it’s only temporary sold at what is the regular price

Here’s a list of all the gamers that think Duke Nukem 3D has not aged well :

This gave me an idea. A game in which mass shootings happens all the time, and you’re a figure of authority (president, governor, whatever...) who needs to react publicly. And the only way to react to the shootings is through a button labelled “send thoughts and prayers”. Of course, it’ll do nothing and another mass

Yeah... That’s pretty coherent, right?

...stop trying to nickle and dime everyone on everything...

You failed to get the point. The point being that stats are good, but only if you can actually understand why you get the stats you get. Many companies simply look at stats, then assume A leads to B, or B is a result of A, and NEVER consider that both A and B might be linked to C, an element they never even considered.

This is something that I constantly talk about with people. The over-reliance on stats and numbers as a way to sidestep the process of having to think about what’s the right thing to do. It’s the modern dictatorships of stats and numbers. Exit instinct. Exit emotion. Exit gut feeling. Exit passion. Let the cold numbers

I’m currently playing an adventure/survival game called Kona, and the main character smokes. Thing is, while smoking a cigarette will reduce your stress level in ganme, it will also reduce your health bar when doing so. There are other ways in the game to reduce your stress level without resorting to cigarettes, and

Actually, we should have a “National streaming from your car” day, during which we gather all these people into a small town closed to everyone else for the day, and let the problem sort itself out.

Yeah... that’s a bummer.... I had the same reaction. No Keith Courage? Given that this was a pack-in game with the system back then (in US and Canada at least), including it in there would’ve been a nice way to generate a bit more nostalgia for those who actually bought the system back then.

I still have the music

I know that, as I do photo-video editing and graphic design myself as a day job. And I still don’t understand. I understand 1440p for a 17" screen, but what I was saying was that there comes a point where the human eye can barely see any difference. You can have the same multi-window openned at once at 1440p or 1080p

I actually fell asleep while watching it. I really wanted to like it, as a fan of Harlock since the ‘78 series. But it was really “meh”, to me. Not “bad”, just not able to keep my interest sparked.

I understand the different preferences. But you know, 144hz does make a noticeable difference. And in the TV world, 4K panels supporting HDR does make a difference because of the better contrast and colors (if content supports HDR). Resolution matters only if you can actually see the difference it brings. Mostly, it

I don’t “get” 4K panels in laptops. I think a 1440p panel would be nice for a 17", and 1080p for a 15" model, but don’t anyone else feel that past some point, there isn’t so much to gain, since we’re not having our face glued to the screen?

Ha, yes.... the “rogue employee” that all companies somehow ends up blaming when their plan backfires on them....

And this is one of the reason why I almost never play mobile games, except those that are “pay once, play forever” type deal. Because to me, altering gameplay elements only so that you can include monetization possibilities is a game-breaking aspect. There is no logical in-game reason at all for this in a game other

I always find it completely bonkers when people go apesh!t over these kind of things. It’s like the outrage when EA put women into that Battlefield game and people were citing “historical accuracy” as the reason why they were against it. I guess loot boxes and respawns are pretty historically accurate, yes? Same thing
