Yes, I believe the SHU is locked down 20+ hours, just not isolated from contact to that extent.
I'm not sure what Seneca meant about "all lockdown", but she's absolutely correct that the military runs a tight ship and is avid to avoid scandal. Most inmates do have freedom of movement for jobs, recreation, and can attend classes, provided they're well behaved.
Well, first of all, no, the SHU (at least here at the USDB) is not solitary, as the inmates have a fair bit of indirect contact with guards and other SHU inmates. I cannot speak to what PC would be like for her, although I could ask if you like.
Fort Leavenworth could choose to put her in the Special Housing Unit (away from general population) or possibly into Protective Custody. Those determinations would be made during in-processing.
Also note that Manning's diagnoses and therapies would be determined by the US Army's own military doctors, who may have…
Female military prisoner generally go to Miramar. There isn't a military women's prison in Leavenworth.
Also, we don't really have trustees out doing lawns and bagging groceries anymore, and if we did, Manning certainly wouldn't be doing those sorts of jobs straight out of the gate.
"Depends on how the other prisioners view the whole WikiLeaks thing, but if they took the "this gets other soldiers shot" view, could be rough on Manning."
Oh sure, but i'm not sure it's worse (or even comparable) to a wild-ass fed prison. Yeah, they've had gang hits and some ugly violence, but like you said, there's more discipline (and funding!) on the military side.
Any case, i just wanted to push back against the popular perception that US military prisons are like…
Well, c'mon, anyone involved in child molestation/exploitation is going to have an unusually hard time in any prison, including the DB.
However, it's my understanding that most men would rather be in Leavenworth than a civie fed pen.
I'm curious as to how you gained your insights into life at the Fort Leavenworth USDB.
The billboards, you guys.
OH MY GOD THE BILLBOARDS
I seriously doubt it, with the women's 135 division being so tiny. Hell men's 125 suffers as well, as does 135 to a lesser extent. I wouldn't be shocked if EA/UFC consider cutting the lighter weight classes.
He did, but money.
Seriously doubt it. Women's 135 division is still tiny. Hell, men's 125 and even 135 need more fresh blood — i wouldn't be surprised if EA/UFC cut some of the lighter classes as well.
i think you'll probably need good, big, strong hands to drive it.
While it is true that the game helps push demand for toys, which annoys some gamers (and i understand why), i can tell you that for a 6 year old, taking a toy figure and placing it on the Skylanders "portal" and having that toy figure appear in the game world and interact with it is magical.
Calling it **only** a…
I find it particularly amusing that EGR is terrified of going home with the boogeyman version of the MRA/PUA Redditor she has in her head — a guy that has had almost zero privilege in life and not really much of a threat to women — while making no effort to weed out the jock bro who CRUSHES PUSSY EVERY WEEKEND BRO…
