Pretty sure they are doing nothing but hurting themselves. They are decreasing their resistance to disease, and probably making the effects of a flu or cold worse. That’s just my theory though

This would be a great concept for a realistic series. Say.....a college film student finds himself stuck in the middle of an outbreak and gets the footage of a lifetime. My interest is completely lost with the Anime/cutesy style

The slant in the back makes sure that the cables are not squashed up against the wall, and also makes sure that there is room for air flow. Seems like a smart design choice to me.
