It's not so much that the game is an ever-lasting tutorial, it's that the game holds your hand literally every step of the way. Even when things are really, really obvious, you can expect a two-minute long explanation from Drippy on exactly what you have to do, even at the very end of the game.

We're gonna see a lot more of it in the next episode. But based on how advanced the regular mechs have gotten in regards to their anti-bender technology, it wouldn't really surprise me if this thing had a lot of countermeasures.

Marvel brought on a ton of new characters for S2 and I can't imagine a lot of them are going to stick around for the entire season, and it would make some sense (in many ways) that they'd have some overlap between their TV series'.
