I've been saying this for years, every time somebody makes a comment about the fact that I only own small cars. They're always like "Isn't that unsafe? Wouldn't you rather have a big car or SUV so you can survive a crash?" My answer has always been the same:

It's been argued before (and I'm in this camp) that slowing down is the best way to reduce the force of an accident and improve the chances for a favorable outcome. Even if you hit that deer in front of you, if you can slow down by 10, 20, 30mph before doing so it's going to be a lot easier on your body.
