I am a big fan of Dave Stevens and the original comic, and the movie is excellent if you ask me. And I certainly think people have warmed to the picture since it's release. Rocketeer deserved a movie franchise. Just imagine him blazing across the sky in WW2 Europe, taking out Nazi's and flying ace's. :)

"The Rock-a-who?"

So, it's another in the series of "Alien" ripoffs done in the eighties and early nineties, just delayed for release by thirty years?

Cypher. "I know what you're thinking, 'cause right now I'm thinking the same thing. Actually, I've been thinking it ever since I got here: Why oh why didn't I take the BLUE pill?"

"One of the obvious problems with this movie, which countless critics have pointed out, is that director Peter Jackson chose to stretch a short, light adventure novel into three massive epic films."
Seriously, it would be refreshing if at least only one critic stopped whining about this. Those claims of "The Hobbit

Game of Thrones' opening sequence always gives you some clues about where the action for the relevant episode will take place, and helps to ground you on the geography of Westeros and the Eastern Continent.

I'm okay with this. They can't do worse than Crystal Skulls, what an abomination. Hopefully they kick LaBoring's character to the curb.

All I can say is:

Doubt it. If they did have any say, I'm sure they would have prevented X2, both FF movies, Daredevil, Elektra, Punisher, etc....

Honestly, I see this as much less of a Zack Snyder problem and much more of a problem with her being "a Golden Age character whose origins barely make sense today" with whom the audience will have a terrible time trying to relate.

Counterpoints:

I would say Marvel has been proving that you don't have to be experimental to be good. They are changing enough surface elements, while still holding onto the core of their characters.

-Hulk is now working with shield successfully
- Young/Kid Loki working with the Young Avengers
-The Superior Spider Man and his foes

Then how are you not aware of his history... The title Ghost Rider is the least important part of the character, He is the spirit of vengeance. Whether it's a car or a motorcycle makes no difference.

If you really wanted to lament comics becoming worse look at how DC's editorial is handling it's characters. Marvel

Ah, I see about Hawkeye and Hulk, but a lot of people I know just don't get that about the Uverse. It's an alternative setting like and Elseworlds and characters will be different.

IIRC, Cap was a dick for the first two volumes, under Millar (under which we got the infamous...this) and I read the first one. I was joking about Hawkeye, and my point about the Hulk was more to show that they made significant changes to the standard versions of the characters in that 'verse. Heck, they're not even

Cap was only a dick under Lobdell's erratic penmanship and I never understood why Hawkeye can't be in a happy marriage since it is an alternate universe.
