@Eridani: If you mean the general human population, then no.In the main SG universe, as far as we know, the Stargate Programme hasn't been disclosed to the public. Mainly a few politicians and some of the military know of it.

Apart from the fact that i'm loving the way all gawker sites share the same user database, I only found out the ROM of this game is up( would've thought it would've been nearer the release date according to wiki)

I remember having some "dummy batteries" a while back, they basically did the same thing.
