An actual autopilot also has different levels. None work like you described. Also, at least one pilot is always monitoring what is going on. If there are “audible and visual warnings” then most definately a pilot will take over in seconds.

I think WOT will be better aswell, as you can open the valves fully, keep them open as long as needed, then close. With a camshaft the valve opens and as soon as it’s at the open most position, it will start to close. Square wave vs sin vawe pretty much :) #areaunderthecurve
