Amen, well said. I agree. I have grown to love Jezebel for BOTH the insightful feminist commentary and the fun, often silly gossip. I like shoes as well as politics. As an old, in years if not in mindset/attitude/looks, I'm struck by the super-serious, earnest tone that some posters take when things get light 'n'

You've got to love Steven Tyler — he always looks like he's having a lot of fun. Wacky, wacky guy. I dig his spirit.

Re Bruno Mars — I knew the song Nothin' on You as background, but since seeing him on the Grammys I haven't been able to get it out of my head. I literally woke up singing it a few mornings. It finally left until I read his name above, and now it's back. He is most adorable! I'm pretty impressed w/his talent and

I agree! Everyone looked like they were having fun, not taking themselves too seriously.

Re Gaga's performance — As others have noted, it totally brought to mind Madonna, also Prince, to me. I like to think it was an homage — especially given the I dream of Jeannie ponytail+voguing moves. But yes, it seemed derivative. Although the message was wonderful.

I second that emotion.

I mostly love the outfits and the natural hair and makeup (as a brown-eyed brunette especially).

@gabicopter: YES — I was a little late to the party in my love for them, and have never seen them live. Was so looking forward to the reunion/new music.

Ever since I saw those Sorels here I've been coveting them madly.

Sheesh — what kind of parents take a long vacation with their extended family...but not their kids? Trips like that are for when school is out.

@suzannelb: I now have serious boot lust. Should never have clicked on the zappos link... now down the rabbit hole I go.

This post has sent me down the YouTube rabbit hole, and I realized I forgot ERASURE. I love these guys so much, nothing makes me want to dance/move more. Just found a remix of their great, great song A Little Respect... it holds up after 20+ years, and this recent remix/video really drives home the meaning (*sniff*).

This song is rock and roll perfection, IMO. Love the wordplay. I've always indentified with "The simple things you see are all complicated/I look pretty young but I'm just back-dated." OK, time to go back to work now...

LOVE THIS. Thanks for this post, I am always looking for new music and motivation.

@awkwardturtle: this pic creeps me out, although Marc's do not. DB always looks dirty to me. I guess I like tamer.

Anybody else take a quick look at the Marc Jacobs pics and see Prince?

@1girl: Absolutely! She's a big boned gal, in the best sense of the phrase, and she's proud of how she looks. She wears the hell out of clothes and is an awesome representation of our country.

I've been obsessing over this chart since I saw it on Cheezburger last week!

@nyrajaid: Agree - this pretty woman looks like a mannequin here to me...the synthetic clothes-displayer ones propped up in store windows whose joints can be articulated, not another word for model.
