She is vileness incarnate. That's all I can think of when I think of her. A selfish mean girl through and through. Makes my blood boil!

I love Giada and I do not like to read of her being bashed. I shamefully admit that sometimes I don't like beautiful women like her— very old holdover jealousy/resentment from when I was a homely teen and felt my looks were underappreciated — but she seems so sweet and nice, and I LOVE her food and cheerful sexiness.

You know I really don't like anything about any Palins, but upon reading this my gut reaction was "Good for you, Bristol!" Seems like an adult move, and awesome to be able to plunk down the cash money for it.

@un ananas: Hey thanks for the tip, will check her out. I'm loathe to think about what Hungry Girl comes up with... and am working on my own food/health related blog.

That wee tiny man is SUPER sexy, and getting better with age (show them how 50+ is DONE!). I've seen him in concert twice, both from close range, and it was awesome. Incredible energy and mastery.

@heroineworshipper: Believe me, it comes up fast! When did I get to be (almost) 50? I overlooked the memo that said I wasn't 25 any more, even though I feel like it much of the time.

OK, she's awesome, continues to be a badass and could be my new (old) hero. Loved her then, love what she's doing now. That body is fantastic...can't fake too much of that, really, nor the flexibility, grace and movement.

I have no love for Bristol (or any Palin), but I think she looks adorable and in this pic at least, age-appropriate — young, fresh, great skin, rosy cheeks, "baby fat" in a good way, not body-snarking here! She's set herself up for ridicule being on that show, but this is starting to sound mean.

@KatrinSedai: yay, solidarity in Gaga grumbling!

It's official.

Yes, Just Kids is a marvelous, evocative read. I loved it, found it really inspiring and poignant.

I got a whole Joan Collins/Dynasty vibe from this.

I'm not so much getting "nature" in #13 as I am "Cher".

@DinaRonson : Elizabeth Cady Stanton: Still, those Rockland County/Hudson shore towns are very cool, artsy communities, under the radar. Do I sense a little location snobbism? :-))

@maggiethecat: you made me tear up when you wrote "...to this day it hurts a little bit inside." I can relate to that. I was mercilessly taunted about my early development (breasts/period @ age 10!), prominent nose, and other features that in reality did make me kind of homely as a kid (didn't grow into my face

@kixiechic: Good for you for admitting that you were a bully. That cannot be easy, with grownup hindsight as to how awful your behavior might have been. And it's great that you stopped when you were told. There was just not enough intervention on either side of my bullying scenario (I was a target). Although my

I am SO EXCITED about more White Stripes music, and the possibility of seeing them live. That combo of talent, authenticity, knowledge/intellect/passion, and of course amazing guitar chops, seemingly nice manners and bad-boy cuteness, love it.

@tchotchke, I agree about the so much makeup, but I guess if I knew I'd be trailed by paps at every turn I'd want to be camera-ready too.

@netfe: OK this pic made me snort. A rare non-cat LOL that I love.
