I’d say the infrastructure isn’t ready for the tech.

Jalopnik bloggers: since you guys are unequivocally Pro-Union , let me explain it in a way you can understand:
The waiver doesn’t mean shit if he can prove negligence. An unexpected sandbag in the runoff doesn’t look good for the track day organization.
The waiver doesn’t excuse gross negligence, put differently the person signing it believes the track owner or event organizer has taken every reasonable precaution to make the track and areas around it as safe as possible.
Your not going to give @streetspeed717 the credit he deserves for putting his car up there? Maybe a link to his YouTube channel? That’s literally how he makes his money and sharing the car is what he does.
The name autopilot is just a red herring. This driver was fully aware of the limitations according to reports listed above. I would agree the name played a factor if this was someone who was using the system the first time and was misled by the name (which none of the cases have been this way; most people don’t trust…
complain about the name all you want, but the system has very clear conditions it it meant to work under, while being supervised, anyone purchasing this car is told this by the car, the manual, Tesla, ect... if you want to argue about it not existing then just as well crusie control should not exist because one day…
Because you are supposed to be monitoring the system the whole time and steer the vehicle if it’s going the wrong way (which is exactly what this driver did in previous cases)? You don’t wait until it warns to start paying attention. If every Tesla owner with autopilot waited for that, there would be much more…
Well then why would he be so chill at that very spot?
If this is true I’m trying to imagine of why anyone would entrust the vehicle in that spot if there was multiple encounters with issues.
We should all be so lucky to die doing what we love. I hope his family and friends can find peace with that. Old Proverb “If you are afraid of death you have already died”
Trucks are now basically just over sized sedans with poorly fitting trunks. Anyone mourning the death of the sedan should just stop, we haven’t said goodbye to sedans; we just supersized them.
They wrote it in crayon on the windshield, but somebody licked it off.
Former Army brat and US Marine here.
He’s the best. I wish he didn’t have this content to make a video about but he hits the nail square most every time.
Good job spreading the word, AVE is awesome, all jalopners should be sub’d to him
And yet when I look up the value of mine on KBB it comes up - no exaggeration - $260.
Everyone pays too much money for a used Subaru.
