Exactly. We basically got the highlight reel of what was good in the 90's and early 00's. Now it is a buffet. And like a buffet there are many good dishes and many crap dishes.

There’s plenty of generic and really good anime now just like there was in the 90's. But back then at least in the us you didn’t have as much access to the schlocky anime as you do now.
