While I get and applaud the reference, I say firmly that he’d be Egg and Pepperoni Dog Fart.
Only the first year Av (2002-03) had the goofy plastic cladding. From 2003 on you could order it sans cladding, and by the second gen body it wasn’t applicable at all. I don’t know why they didn’t have the corner step bumper past 2005. I’ve looked at adapting a newer Sierra/Silverado rear bumper to my Av, but the…
Have a 2011 Av, can confirm, the entire center portion aka the midgate folds flat into the interior.
If you’re a contractor with ladders over 6'-0" and tools, and you don’t want to leave everything in the bed exposed to both the elements and thieves. It’s the utility of a long bed pick-up, and the seating capacity of a tahoe. It’s a niche vehicle, but it really hit the nail for those of us who use it.
The avalanche is a modified suburban. The rear seats fold forward and the midgate folds flat. Or you can fully fold the midgate into the floor.
As an Av owner: yup. It’s called a midgate, and it’s amazing.
It’s the look of someone thinking “I could, I’m right here, and no one would be fast enough to stop me.”
Underrated comment. Well done.
As an 2011 Avalanche owner, I have no idea what you’re talking about. The tailgate between the Av and the EXT are virtually identical. On the early first gen Av’s people swapped the EXT tail to remove the trim, but the body lines didn’t match, but that ceased to be an issue in 2004.
I use my tailgate as a makeshift desk pretty often on job sites. I’m not going to lie, I saw that and was thinking “I need to find a way to adapt this to my truck, because I’ll be damned if I’m paying for a new Denali.”
Relevant to the conversation:
I had (am a chrome dome now) naturally oily hair in my younger days, and egg whites didn’t lend well to a quick mohawk for me.

Actually out of all of his movies, that’s my least favorite. It has a few very good scenes here and there (namely with Christoph Waltz) but otherwise the film is forgettable. Also I can’t stand Eli Roth, so it didn’t help matters any.
