There are still plenty of them to be had in good shape, the problem lies with wanting to make it a DD. These trucks spend 80-90% of their time up on jack stands because they love to breakdown, and there are enough uncommon parts on them that you'll curse the day you decided to make it your every day transportation.
You can haul plenty with these (and Syclones for that matter). It simply isn't recommended for regular truck duty because the BW4472 t-case (1372 in the Sy) was never intended for it. Any long term hauling throws the suspension and drive train off balance, and wreaks havoc on the viscous coupling in the transfer case.
Me and you disagree, and we aren't going to see eye to eye on this one. You're comparing a run of the mill forester to a limited edition power house. If you want to compare a Forester, use the Forester STi. The numbers posted for the Ty are far from correct; the 0-60 times are closer to 4.8 for a stock truck.
you...just compared a Typhoon to a Forester.
Not yet, needed to finish putting my office together first. Hopefully, I can get my shelves up tonight, and start ordering parts this weekend. My goal is to have all the parts at least ordered by the end of the month.
He was clearly trying to reference Squidbillies in order to connect with the kids. In classic JJ fashion...he has no idea what he's talking about. You have to remember that Jesse Jackson's idea of a sentence is simply a bunch of words stitched together, occasionally in a row. There may or may not be any verbs,…
Agreed. The Bravada grill was always my favorite of the 1st gen s-series grills. Too bad they're so damn hard to find now a days.
Not to be vague, but it depends on what they needed it for.
There is a very select group of my friends, and family for that matter, that I would trust with the keys to my car...and that list gets even shorter when it comes to something with performance backing it up.
Celozzi-Ettleson Chevrolet
Dark Knight Rises in the best catagory, and Prometheus in the worst?
Do you have any more pics of it, or possibly a link to a build thread? It looks really well done, and I'd like to see more of it. All I can find are some vague specs, this picture, and a rear shot.
