Destiny story are just prerequistes essentially before the good stuff (raids, strikes, gear, pvp etc) so the fact it isn’t that long is not bad at all. No one really plays it for the story anyways.

Have you like never played an expansion for any MMORPG? The main story line is only a small fraction of any expansion. It’s all about the raids, side quests and new loot.

So basically Konami was left with the great engine designed by Hideo for MGSV and decided the best thing to do with it is to make a generic coop survival game and slap the name metal gear on it.
