I agree, but the mounting points haven’t changed from the CJ style front end.  I’m guessing this was much cheaper.  It may also allow someone to bolt the 2019 front end right on.

True, but they were designed on the same platform to accommodate economies of scale such as engines and transmissions being the same.  It wouldn’t surprise me to find out the parts that aren’t shared are still sourced from the same place to give them some supply chain economy of scale.  

The Odyssey, Ridgeline, Passport and Pilot are all the same vehicle underneath and built in the same plant.  I’m not even sure if they are sold outside of NA.

The real question becomes short of fuel costs, how many other fleet vehicles can be maintained for 7.25 cents/mile?  Once we add in fuel costs I think it swings even further to Tesla.
