Yeah, I was just looking at the helicopter figures that I recalled (that resulted in deaths).

But yeah, he did not make it either.

I am sure there are a few other accidents I don’t recall. I could swear there was an Apache crash in Washington state that took a couple of our guys as well.

We have thousands in the inventory and fly the balls off of them. Also, it’s not like a commuter plane... we are down low, operating under NVGs, practicing hoist ops, putting out fires, etc. in the “training” environment.

A more dangerous mission set + the fact that we have so many flights with them = more accidents

Got you covered bud. It’s been a shit year for the whirly birds.

It’s been a bad year for US aviation losses of life during training...

Just a damn shame.

Agreed... But Morgans are pricey and I don’t think they have a top) and so is the Trex.

Right!?

Especially for a $7k vehicle... totally attainable, entry-level series right there!

As for us mundane commuter-folk: The Elio represents a silly car... but if you think of it in terms of a motorcycle... it’s a motorcycle that keeps you out of the rain, warm in the winter, cold in the summer, gets respectable gas

Man, Ford is really stepping up the Taurus looks.

Right!? I’ve lived in the NE and grew up around the Appalachians. When I got down here and they were like “Alright, lets do a low level flight... blah blah blah... use terrain association...” I laughed a little. We are talking elevation changes of maybe 20’. Down here, I find myself navigating by rivers (broad leaf

You nailed it.

Wages are simply horrible in a lot of these locations. And saying that... one reason that they don’t have boots, etc. on is that even if they were supplied, there is a good chance they would just sell them.

You would too if the boots were worth a month’s pay (or more in some places).

That’s what I hear! I have a few Apache buddies and a couple Blackhawk guys from flight school that fly up there.

Awesome scenery...

Both!

A damn shame, regardless of the cause.

I AM! You are right!

Terrible memory here.

I like that you godwinned it right there.

And come on... that was a solid heartfelt post with levity followed by a rickroll... that was a damn artful ambush. *wipes a tear from his eye* God, it’s just... so beautiful.

Do you know who else crossed the double yellow lines?

(I am the troll)

On a serious note: I think I know what you meant in your original post, but you can clearly see how most of us interpreted it. This is just a hamfisted (mmm, ham fists) lesson in “effective communication.”

I say things on the internet all the time

I live to serve the fine people of the intarwebs.
