It's a nice book. I just got one in the mail two days ago as a birthday present from my dad. We used to watch it together when it aired on PBS in the 80's. Whenever we end up arguing about politics too much I find that steering the conversation to Dr. Who to be a good way to find something to agree on.

Doctor Who has never really developed a consistent set of rules as to how multi-Doctor stories work, and this will likely all become clear as "Day of the Doctor" unfolds, but my guess is that the Doctor only properly remembers a multi-Doctor adventure once all his different versions have finished living through it. So

I was really hoping that this would be part of the 50th actually.

Needs more McGann.

I don't think "one behind the other" qualifies as "optical illusion".

My daughter got stuck in the birth canal. The docter really panicked and freaked out. She performed a c-section and pulled my daughter by her legs through the incision while the anesthesiologist pushed her head back into the womb. She's an awesome healthy 7 years old now. Hopefully this will be modified to also work with babies born without clothes on as well! Unless that is another distinction being made between poor and rich countries?

Sounds like Mr. Odon deserves a spot on this list:

It's great that everyday people who see an issue to fix and then works at it to get the job done. I have worked with mechanics at my last job and they are some of the best troubleshooters on the planet. Not surprising that one came up with this idea. Good job Mr. Odon.

That was super entertaining and highly informative- thank you for posting this!

Bring back the Thorn!

Hygelac dies and Beowulf succeeds to the Geatish throne. It's in the poem.

I laughed out really loudly in my cubicle at this.

So, Sleepy Hollow then?

Why not combine them?

The worst part about the mainpage reporting on stuff hours after it's been on the O-Deck (which is not to say that you saw it there, because you guys all read the same sites and get your tips from similar sources) is that I've already used up all my good bon mots about it. I mean, they're not great mots, but still.

While normally I agree with people being overly sensitive about spoilers, in this case the reveal (even if it was in the first 20 seconds) was so incredible that people should have the luxury of seeing it spoiler free.

Plus the entire 6 minutes is so monumental in terms of story/lore.

As it turns out, the "Time War" was really just a euphemism for The Doctor & The Great Intelligence's booze-&-drug-fueled roadtrip.

Awesome, I love me some minute physics

It's a beautiful bridge, but I don't see the Moebius band in it.
