Apparently, the whole movie is only going to feature about 20 cuts, which I'm genuinely interested to see. Bobcat is quietly turning into one of the great cult directors, which is fairly amazing for the guy with the silly voice (well, one of them) from Police Academy.

Slipstream makes a LOT more sense when you realize it's Huckleberry Finn in post-apoc drag. The Slipstream is the Mississippi, Bill Paxton is Huckleberry and Bob Peck is Jim.

He was also Christopher Blair in the Wing Commander saga, part III and IV

The airplane in SLIPSTREAM was a BROOKLAND AEROSPACE OPTICA OA7

OMG, THAT FUCKING MOVIE. My roommates and I bought it out of a Walmart $5 bin once and nearly all died from lack of oxygen because we were laughing at it so hard. That scene at the end with the plane crash?

That Slipstream poster made me do a double take— at a glance, I thought Mark Hamill was Simon Pegg!

I a convinced that Slipstream was made simply to justify the producer's purchase of ultralight aircraft. There is no other excuse for two hours of wandering around a canyon in a two-seat flybuggy.

I actually liked Slipstream for just that reason - the reversal of roles was an early-movie twist that really worked for me. So I assume (pretend?) that it was intentional. Also, I was kind of amazed that Hamil made such a good villain. Oddly enough, my friends kept falling asleep when I tried to get them to watch it.

Never seen the movie, but wow does he look like Simon Pegg in that poster to me.

I sort of liked Slipstream, but yeah, it doesn't make any damn sense whatsoever.

I actually liked SLIPSTREAM. It's right up there with ROBOT JOX for me.

Slipstream — also the answer to, Hey, why didn't Steven Lisberger make more movies after Tron?

I love the monkey scream they added at 1:12

Fix of the year. WIN!

Blame Harry "The Hipster" Gibson:

No. It is just an eccentric British game show where contestants try and guess the specialty of various guest Doctors. It has something of a cult following, for reasons unclear.

I can't speak for the classic stuff, but of the new series, go watch "Dalek," "The Girl in the Fireplace" and "The 11th Hour." If you hate all three, it's safe to say that Who (New Who, at least) is not for you. And as long as you have a basic understanding of the show (time traveling guy who sometimes changes faces),
