Well it's not an app, it's called a valet. Think Jeeves and Wooster.

I worked four 10-hour days a week in a call centre.

The distance measuring tool and terrain mode are the things I use Google maps for most. If they still haven't included these in the new version then I'm sticking with the old until they remove it.

I wanted to do that but my name ends with 'an' so I could get for instance corey@feldm.an (I'm not him, you understand), but .an is the domain of the Netherlands Antilles. The country which no longer exists and the domain is being phased out.

I got a mini Leatherman multi tool for christmas that goes on my keys. I've used it countless times since then, I don't know what I did without it!

You can buy cases like this. Hammond's 1590 series of aluminium cases is popular in the DIY guitar pedal community. They're not expensive and available everywhere. One of the bigger ones, like the 1590J, looks to be around the right size - http://www.hammondmfg.com/1590ptbl.htm

How come this story from last september is the most viewed article on io9 right now? Who's been linking to it? :)

This way of stopping hiccups works every time, as long as you catch it quick enough. If you've already been hiccuping for more than a few seconds forget it but try this if you've just started.
