Yeah, that makes perfect sense! In a parallel universe where actors hate making money and being part of the most popular show on television.

There’s nothing complex about the show. They’ve been gutting the source material’s complexity out since the very first season.

The article above mentions that “Tencent claims the game was developed in-house”.

Some did, but some didn’t. The traditional chonmage topknot is what you are probably thinking of. There’s a photograph from the 1860s Samurai in which they have a few different haircuts. This wiki page has the colorized photo:

PUBG certainly cares enough to sue them, but just as you’ve guessed there’s no reality in which they would win that lawsuit in China.

People change though, he probably had that tattoo before he had kids.
I’m not saying erotic visual novels are all pedo shit, but they probably don’t have a place being available on the Nintendo store or e-store. On the other hand it’s unfortunate that so many commenters think that drawn anime style eroticism is same

Incredible act of kindness? No, he took responsibility but let’s not pretend he didn’t still make hundreds of thousands. Furthermore executives don’t make most of their money from their salary. I don’t recall if he also took a 50% cut to his stock compensation, but even if he did he would still have made millions that

I suppose you can count world building and lore as story, but what we’ve come to expect from Bioware are RPGs with branching narrative and choices. I just don’t see why we need another Destiny, Division, or any other online only live service. The best way to give story real priority is by making a single player game.

“Story priority for Anthem... online shooter... no branching narrative...”
Can they still say that the story is a priority when you can’t play offline or have any influence on the story? At least the game looks visually impressive.

I take issue with “video game culture enables entitlement”. Consumers have a right to the products (or even services) they pay for. There is nothing wrong with demanding better products and less exploitative services. The fans get to decide what they like and what they don’t like. Nobody owes Blizzard undying loyalty,

These “old Bethesda game on newer engine” mods never release anyway. Most anyone with any interest in modding knows what a time consuming effort it would be to “just” rip and port the assets from [older Bethesda game] to [newer Bethesda game], while it has long been established that doing so is technically illegal. I

Why does everything have to be about politics? Specifically American politics... Does one have to be an American alt-right conservative to like the game? As for being flawed and buggy, hasn’t anyone here played a Bethesda game on launch? There will be patches that fix and improve the game, just give it time. Things

“different flavors of what we now call “asian” (Chinese, Korean, Mongolian, etc”... You don’t think that sounds pretty racist? Different flavors of Asian... lumping Asians together is just... I’m speechless.

The blind EA hate never ceases to amaze me. What makes you think EA is so much worse than Konami, Activision, Ubisoft or Take-Two? If it wasn’t for EA PR clumsiness many people would probably still be obliviously buying Overwatch/COD/Assassins Creed lootboxes and/or GTA5 shark cards... So be thankful to EA for raising

Agreed with pretty much all of your points. I’ve never been much of a comics fan, but I’ve read plenty of manga and Berserk art really is some of the best. Even though it’s been on hiatus a lot over the past 15 years or so, the scale of the battles is just incredible. The Kushan battles come to mind... I think Miura

Heh, beat me to it. Except I was going to joke about how we should expect the hiatus starting before HxH comes back (January was it?).

It’s pretty clear that From Software are fans of Berserk, so you if you like their work it’s worth seeing where they got a lot of their inspiration from. It really depends on what you consider loose homage, but I definitely see many parallels. As for Bloodborne being Lovecraftian and Victorian, well in my opinion

Nothing awful about Dragon’s Dogma, unless you are super picky about story. Other than that, amazing game-play all around. One of the most satisfying combat systems ever.

*goes back to the worst offender* lol

On the other hand TES Online has been very profitable for them and there’s been chatter that they are working on a Fallout MMO next. They will certainly go forward with monetization of mods so they don’t get left behind by the rest of the big publishers.
