I’ve had several close calls while towing trailers for exactly the opposite reason. Numerous times while towing race cars but my favorite was when I worked for the city in parks’ maintenance.

So they reverse engineered an old GM engine? If you’re worried about having an overpowered engine, the thing that really matters for fuel economy is BSFC (brake specific fuel consumption). You get better BSFC with a more efficient fuel burn and tech like direct injection, variable valve timing, etc. get you that.

Cool! I’m secretly rooting for these guys as an underdog. It may be somewhat un-Jalop of me but I like the idea of affordable efficient transportation for the masses even if it’s not for me.
