Why do people always go to “first world problems” when rebutting a complaint about cars?
Alfa Romeo 4C. I finally saw one in person last week and it’s hard to describe why my want is so strong. The dealer practically tried to talk me out of it too. He was mostly along the lines of “if you don’t know what you’re getting into, this car isn’t for you.” There are faster cars for the same price point but…
I believe the rule in this case would be “don’t work with the marines.” Seeing as how the navy version isn’t the one that required all of the design compromise. It’s worth noting that engineering can design a proper product if allowed to and kept focused on the goal. That’s what his rules are about.
YES!!!! YES!!!! 100 times yes.
I remember Doug’s video on that. I believe the moral of the story was to get a dog instead.

Hopefully the toilet was designed properly. Fortunately, they now have a 3D printer on the space station so they can print a pizza saver.

Probably comes in a manual/hatch version so you never know.

They have an inertial filter and I think they were upgraded with a barrier filter as well. In short, it’s probably not any different than a helicopter performing a similar role.
Thank God for that. Although in Texas, I don’t think you can be jailed for speeding. Justsayin
I’ve said it on other threads about non-pneumatic tires but it’s worth repeating: the biggest issues I see with these are debris getting stuck in them, heat, and aerodynamics. It works fine for low speed vehicles but standard pneumatic tries will likely be superior for passenger cars for the foreseeable future.
