The Lada Niva is my offroad forbidden fruit. I want one so bad but I don't want to pay the absurd asking price in the states.

The Capri uses a 1.6L DOHC (B6D) and I only listed the BP engines according to Wikipedia. Good catch if Wiki is wrong though.

Mazda B engine line. For starters: Miata.

Shit, rebuilds on pro-level rally suspension costs more than my rally car.

Already, nearly half of fatal car crashes in the state involve speed, said Virginia State Police Capt. Daniel Glick. The threat of a reckless driving ticket is an important deterrent, he said.

No shit! I'm Hiring a chauffeur next time I go there.

Is that an Illinois law?

In Chicago, 20 over could be as slow as 65 on the interstate. 65 is about the minimum speed you should be going on the interstate in regular flowing traffic.

Personally, I think the power increase would have a much bigger affect than the weight. 35 lbs isn't too bad to deal with but another 75 hp? That's a ton not only for the structure of the car, durability of the driveline, but the cooling system as well.

Most EVs are poor conversions from traditional ICE powered vehicles. The reason is that it's expensive to develop a vehicle and to have a good EV, it needs to be on a dedicated platform. Historically, Chrysler's transmissions have been awful. For example, I have a friend whose wife's minivan has had the trans replaced 4 times under warranty. Usually it is the Chrysler designed automatic transmissions since they tend to lean toward Getrag for manuals.

True but shape charges require prep work that would get noticed as an act of terrorism. It takes weeks to set up building demolishions and something that could be easily placed probably wouldn't wouldn't be able to do that much damage. You'd need something like a truck full of explosives like the OKC federal building

If I remember right, most of the Hyperloop proposal path followed existing highway corridors with some tunneling. Part of the issue was G-loading during turns. It would stand to reason that an ideal route would be somewhere with an existing relatively straight and level highway.

Also, if I remember the proposal correctly, the tube walls were something like 1.5" thick steel. Trying to use a bomb on it would probably not do as much damage as one might think.

What's "pedacyclist"? Is that pedestrians hit by cyclists?
