Midwesterner here, TOTALLY AGREE! If they aren't going to bother to distinguish the major cities of the Midwest from cornfields and dairy farms, L.A. Is close enough.

I agree mostly with Vin's reply, the car market now is very different than it was in the 70s. For 1, the idea of domestic and foreign cars has blurred. Many American cars are made in Mexico, many foreign cars are made here in the US. Honestly, the Acura MDX is more American than Japanese.
