It’s legit and they do contact your reps. Within a couple of hours after I texted the number, I got auto-reply emails from two of my representatives.

It’s weird to me that “no longer friends” makes people assume animosity. Drifting apart is extremely normal. Especially with friends you have when you’re very young. People grow up, and sometimes that means they grow apart. I think it’s disingenuous to claim you’re still amazing friends with everyone you’ve ever been…

My neighbors on both sides have kids who are extremely dramatic. Sometimes it’s like they’re acting out gruesome battles. Other times it’s just singing some sort of tragic ballad they probably made up.

I have hope that if one good thing can come from the absolute clusterfuck that was Wisconsin’s spring primary this week, it’ll be a healthy mistrust of Republicans this time around. They willfully refused to take any action to make voting safer, and people are going to get sick and die.

Black voters and older voters preferred Biden by a large margin. They are reliable voting blocs.

There is a lot that is still uncertain about the current story. I will be interested to see if more details emerge, and if additional allegations surface, as they did with Trump and Kavanaugh.

I’ve had decent luck with the app Insight Timer. There are a couple of meditations specific to insomnia that are my go-to’s, one for when you can’t sleep initially, and one for when you wake up and can’t doze back off.
