I also thought of this as soon as I heard about the Fresh Prince reboot although I imagined it as more of a horror series with Urkel serving as the tragic villain. Being rebuffed in his amorous and social pursuits turns Steve inward, desperate to fix those parts of himself he sees as holding him back.

Virtual card numbers should be FAR more common by now with the enormous rise in stolen numbers.  You would think that the losses these companies are taking that they would take it seriously.

Or just allow a game to be not refundable if it is less than $10.

It amazes me that Valve can sit on a mountain of player metrics but be unable to fix this. 

That would be ripe for abuse, but I could see Valve providing a model that tracks playtime and uses some average (or something smarter) to pick a refund time between 30 mins and 2 hours or something like that.

I’m kinda hoping maybe his post will be covered enough that it might cause folks to check out his game and recoup costs a little.  But yeah, he never should have been put in this situation to being with.  People suck.
