The radiators are cheap plastic, but a nice aluminum one is an easy fix, the suspension is easily taken care of with coil-overs. That little fix makes it a different car and so much better in every way. I've owned two of these cars and if you fix a couple of little things, you have a car that is on-par with an E39 M5.

The Commodores are such gorgeous cars. If I ever get tired of my silver car, I'll be looking for a nice G8 that I can convert back to what it should be. Be about twice as expensive as the GTO was :(

Thanks. The corporate Pontiac design was always a mystery to me. Such linear thinking that was probably one of the things that led to their ultimate demise. I suppose a GTO conversion in AU is as weird to see as the Monaro conversion is here in the US. Fun to be different :)

Holden CV8Z conversion...except for the right hand drive part. Not doing that.

Agree. Best bang for the buck car on Craigslist. Here's mine :D

I see one of those every day in my garage. Best car I've ever owned.

My neighbor got a new PBM when they first came out for 2004 and I laughed at it. I was still driving my old 5.0 Mustang GT convertible and the thought of a GTO without hoodscoops was laughable to me. Then I sat in it. Then I drove it. Then I wanted one. I'm on my second GTO now and haven't had a thought of buying

Im on my second GTO/Monaro. I've owned eight 5.0 Mustangs and Cobras and ill never need to buy another one as long can have a rowdy Aussie car in my garage.

Goddammit. Only thing that makes this bearable to read is my 2005 Monaro conversion will be worth more money...if I can keep the miles off of it. Anyone want to trade even for a new Chevy SS?

Looks like Z06 wheels on there. Bet that thing does amazing donuts.

I'd drive this BRZ if it were an automatic.

5-0 in a 6.0

Uuuugh. 13mpg. That's worse than my Monaro. LOL! It gets around 18-20mpg combined but has managed 25mpg on a road trip to Ocala. I guess I'll stick with the 98 Camry DD.

JHP and Wheel King still sells them. They turn up on ls1gto.com once in a while too. Mine came from JHP and got to me in just a few days. Blow that tax refund money and chunk those flower petal wheels!! The VZ wheels totally make the car!

Volvo makes some wonderful cars!

I have been really tempted to get another 5.0 Mustang too, but I know me. I would miss the big fat lazy Aussie muscle car. Here in FL, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Mustang. So many rental Mustangs on the road here, they blend right in with the real Mustangs way too easily.

There were probably 1500 brazen cars that came to the US. This one was bought new in Sarasota FL and I had it until it hit 97K miles. Vettes are ok, Camaros are impossible to see out of so I think I'll stick with these weird Australian cars for a while :)

Alot of us buying a second GTO. Best car I have ever owned.

You're luckier than me :)

Very interesting! 1999 Lumina. LOL! I thought the Brazen Orange Metallic on the 2006 GTO was called "Fusion" on the last of the 2005's in AU? Still my favorite color car and I was very tempted to get another orange GTO, until I stumbled in to the quicksilver Monaro. I considered a G8/GT too, but it was WAY too
