Ok, my question: Vanilla D2 didn’t blow me away, and CoO and Warmind didn’t review well enough to draw me back in. What would I be sacrificing by skipping directly to year 2?

I remember loving Blood Omen so damn much and being so disappointed when the follow up was just “some Tomb Raider wannabe,” nevermind that the original was probably FAR more derivative.
I’m not at that point yet because the big titles are still very much worth it for me (Mafia 3 this month, Kerbal next) but I miss the months where I was legitimately excited by the reveal (Sexy Brutale, Shadow Tactics, Superhot.)

While it’s still one of the best values in gaming, I feel like Humble Monthly has lost its wow factor for me lately. They’re putting all their big marquis titles in the early access to entice new subscribers, while the regular reveal date gets a handful of meh indies to round out the bunch. Haven’t had that “oh wow,…

Looks like it’s been dealt with. Following that link to follow them and was not met with any warning.
Has R6:S really gotten THAT bad? I’ve played since launch, first on XBL for a year, then PS4 after that, and from both my experience and media coverage it seemed as if Siege was a more mature community. Granted, since switching consoles I’ve been playing almost exclusively in party chat with a close squad, but even on…

Thank you, but no, not on the spectrum. After my divorce I found sleeping in an empty bed rather difficult and the added weight felt like a comforting presence that I was missing.

I had no idea these were a thing. I sleep under as many as 6 blankets at times not for the warmth but for that weighted feel.

Ugh, I really wish I had the time to dedicate to that game. I poked at the vanilla release for a bit and really like what it was going for, the update just makes it look amazing.
Don’t know why not, but depending on the subject of the interview asking them to set up their own local recording can get dicey. I’d suggest recording the Skype call on a separate track as a backup, for sure.
It’s more common in games with a long “outro” like MK, but you see it happen from time to time in other games. Not common enough to be considered standard practice, not rare enough to raise eyebrows.
Just my 2¢, but I’m in love with my Logitech G600, their MMO mouse. I don’t even play MMO’s anymore, but I couldn’t imagine going without that 12 key past on the side. I assign shortcuts to it in everything I play.
I have yet to watch the (Manga? Viz? ADV? Aaron I forget who has the rights now.) version for this very reason. The Streamline/Orion days are such an integral part of my growing up (avatar relevant.) I’ve come to recognize that some, maybe even most, weren’t “good,” but by God they were mine.
Great single player experiences are akin to any other amazing narrative media, yes, but online multiplayer has its analogue in sports. I’m a naturally competitive person, but grew up lanky and awkward and just not at all athletic. Online gaming allows me to scratch that competitive itch and make a few new…
The rest of my year is almost exclusively multiplayer, a lot of Rocket League/R6:S broken up with occasional forays into various fighting games, sports games, et al. In short, I’m a competitive guy.
Started a tradition last year of doing a Single Player Summer, so my plans for this year are:
