Personal opinions and all that, but I was just bored to tears with ZoE. I did hear ZoE2 was better, but never cared enough to check it out.

Not sure if you’re leaving the Dreamcast out of the conversation on purpose, but I was playing PSO before Xbox even launched, so I don’t know about this whole “finally” bit.

EVERYONE bought ZoE just for the MGS2 demo. The following that ZoE has astounds me, it wasn’t that great a game.

Now playing

You’ve given birth to what might be the greatest Kinja thread ever. Thank you.

I don’t think it’s altogether unnecessary given the subject matter they play around with, as the article pointed out. Having only played the first, when they pointed out racial and religious diversity in the team, it set the stage for the world they were going to introduce me to. So if they felt it necessary to

Pedantic perhaps, the clip/mag mistake is a common one, but neither of your counter-arguments hold water. Pistol and revolver are NEVER interchangeable (even the most gun-stupid people I’ve met understand the difference) and “gas” is short for “gasoline,” not indicative of a gaseous state of matter, so it isn’t

I had no idea such a thing existed. I know what I’m listening to at work today...

The South East Asia servers are in English, not IP blocked, but from what I remember, a year+ behind in content and patches.

This looks like everything I wish E:D was, but E:D still wins out because I can pilot my ship instead of just steering it. A cockpit POV and pilot’s controls would make this an insta-buy.

Ok, to anyone that digs this kind of music, check out an album called Dark Country. I stumbled on it a year-ish ago and thought it sounded like some soundtrack to a western that never got made. Fired up that trailer and just about lost my shit when I recognized the song.

“Nanomachines”

And I think this is why they ban champs. Yes, the whole mode is trollish, but it can reach a level that ceases to be fun.

Really been enjoying the podcast. Never been a big horror guy myself but listening to people talk about things they’re passionate about is always a pleasure.

Every major release in which gamepad use makes sense support them. The only ones that don’t are cursor-based games, and only the slower paced ones (Civ, Sim-stuff, etc) could adopt something like this, there’s no way to use this pad with keybind heavy RTS’s or split-second reaction MOBA’s.

There was another response in here that I think I may suggest. Watch/read a walkthrough and take note of narrative decisions you’d make, then find a matching save file out in the wild to start W2 with.

I can’t even bring myself to finish Witcher 1, but everything I see related to CDPR just makes me respect them so damn much.

Damn, man. Sorry to hear you’ve had such shit luck. I’ve had mine for just over a year now and, aside from the setup issues that we all just accept as the cost of entry these days, have no real complaints about it. Worst case scenario, it occasionally doesn’t play nice with my cable modem, but a quick restart usually

I absolutely love the concept of asymmetrical multiplayer, but who in their right mind is actually going to play out a game as a counselor? I hate to say it, but I see this turning into a case of everyone dropping until they get to be Jason.

That actually is illegal in most of the U.S.
