Alex didn't beat the CANNONBALL RUN record because he didn't do the Cannonball Run. He admits it in his comment in this thread. He calls it a "cross country" run, not the Cannonball Run. He can be the world record holder for the "Coast to Coast Dash" or whatever he wants to call it, but it wasn't the Cannonball Run.
