Not totally crazy, I think, but I had one recently where I was searching a snowy, ancient ruins to collect water from a mystical fountain. I couldn’t find a fountain anywhere but realized that there were icicles on the roof that were melting, water trickling down from them, and had an AHA! moment that this was the

Oh dear, that’s awful. I hope you heal fast and feel better soon.

I’ve always been into video games. Right now I play Wizards Unite (phone game) and Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC game), which have a nice social aspect because there are things you do with other players. Particularly in the Star Wars game, I have a regular team that does missions together at certain appointed times

I’m so, so sorry. I lost my dad last year and it’s just so sad, so hard, so terrible in every way. I’m glad you’re finding things to keep you busy, at least. *Virtual hug*

So many Dunkin’s! I was visiting my mom in Massachusetts at Christmas, and I was supposed to pick up my brother from a DD across town. About 3 minutes out from my destination, I panic and realize I forget which light to turn at. So I go, “Hey Siri, how do I get to Dunkin’ Donuts?”
Siri: Do you mean the DD at 123 Main

Aw, that’s a delightful story. I’m so sorry about your dad. I know what you mean about how hard it is to think of him without thinking of him at the end. The memories of my dad in hospice are still really prominent in my mind 7 months later. But it’s a good exercise to remember the good times.

Aw, that’s lovely. How special. My dad wasn’t particularly fashionable, but he did go to the mall to help me shop for a prom dress. And even though the one I picked out was a bit above our designated budget, he knew that it was perfect (made me feel like an Elf from Lord of the Rings, which is really what I was going

Made me tear up, too. Support and understanding without judgment. That was my dad as well.

He sounds wonderful. That ability to recognize and support the fact that you were a responsible adult is key. My dad morphed from father to friend really beautifully for my brothers and me.

Aw, that’s the best. A parent supporting you without fail or fatigue.

That’s a beautiful, very special memory.

Your dad sounds wonderful. I admired my dad, as well, for always being even tempered—pleasant even if in a disagreement—and being able to hold a conversation with anyone. He was so smart, inquisitive, and easy-going, whatever random topic someone wanted to discuss, he could have an engaging conversation on that topic

This was not a moment with my dad, but it was a lovely recurring event that illustrates how sweet and thoughtful my dad was.

I remember this tiny moment with my dad—I’m not even sure how old I was, maybe 7 or so. We were talking about his father, who passed away shortly before I was born; even my older brother was too young at the time to remember him.

I’m so, so sorry. I remember this story from before. Healing takes a long time—I can’t imagine how much worse it is during this pandemic and with a horrible mother. I hope you/your husband are at least able to get those computers. Any small victory could be nice considering how terribly unfair his mother is being.

I’m so, so sorry. That’s a sad, awful situation. It was horrible and heartbreaking losing my dad last November, but now I appreciate how lucky we were that we were able to be there with him at the hospital and at home, have visitors over to see him, and have a memorial service with lots of people. I’m sending my

The kākāpō is the best bird. No contest. I’ve watched basically all of the youtube videos on kākāpō. They are perfect little angels, and if we humans can’t save their population from the disaster we caused to them, then we do not deserve this planet.

That’s awful and so scary. I hope your cousin is ok.

Oh dear, that’s really scary—COVID, pneumonia, and C. diff. Best wishes to your aunt and your whole family.

Ooh, those look great! I’m impressed they’re gluten free! I’m going to make banana bread this weekend. Nothing fancy, but I’m going to try to make it “healthy,” with whole wheat flour, as little added sugar (maple syrup) as possible, good oil and nuts.
