I thought the tortoise shell would be a very clever way to explain the flower neck. Amphibians are the only vertebrates that grow limbs as they age, seemed a perfect fit for dragonite.

I did though, they look like realistic versions of the character. Just adding detail to a cartoon doesn't make it realistic. You need to re-imagine it to fit within our real world.
