I consider myself a leftist, and I absolutely side with In-N-Out on this. It should not be the job of any food service employee to check the vaccine status of any patron.

It is rather unfair to put the onus on low-level fast food employees to check everyone’s vaccination cards, regardless of In-N-Out’s true intentions here.
