Sure the president of Chik Fil A said that stuff but they are franchised restaurants. I’ve not read one instance where a Chik Fil A restaurant discriminated against anyone for being LGBT. Go protest their corporate HQ but the local franchises really have nothing to do with it. 

Those employees who get the cut pay rate are going to do what I did when a jerk came in to buy a keg at the grocery store. I’d get that wink from the liquor manager then go back into the beer cooler and roll that keg back and forth from one end to the other.

Initially I didn’t think they were tipped since they were described as retail employees. Then Kate says they are tipped. I’m kinda confused now. Are they tipped regularly or just a jar by the register? 

I know the wage can be lower for tipped employees. I know that the IRS too will tax them above the hourly rate assuming they get so much in tips an hour whether they do or not. So taxes are taken out from that hourly wage. 

Ok, but still crappy. As an employer I wouldn’t have done it because at that wage level the payroll taxes wouldn’t be that much more.
